Pagan Poetry, Chants and Music

In magic realms,
There exists a truth,
We forever searching,
In realms above,
Looking for this truth perfect,
Our mortal lives to reflect,
Upon the past,
We must let go,
To be re-born in the present,
The here and now,
Our journey through life,
Is all but a dream,
A blink of an eye,
In the great cosmic scheme,
In outer realms,

The search for perfection,
We will never find,
It's only a figment,
In our mind,
This is the truth,
We must all realise,
Until we reach inner realms,
Where pure love and truth abide,
So seek not dear traveller,
Through time and space,
Accept what has been given,
With good grace,
For life is a cycle of re-birth,
Only hope exists,
In our lives on earth.

This is my collection of poetry and music. Many of the music/chant files are Real Media (you will need the Real Audio Player for these) and MP3 (you will need WinAmp or some other MP3 player for these). Please save the sound files to your own server or computer. Do not link to them here! The various poems I have found in many different places; I do not claim any. If there is no credit given to a particular author it is because the information was not available to me. If you claim a poem to be your own, please inform me and I will add the proper credit or remove them from my site.
This MP3 Player contains some of my favorite Pagan chants/music.

Full Circle

A pebble came from the earth.
A rock came from the pebble.
The boulder came from the rock.
The mountain came from the boulder.
But now back to earth.

The wind came from the sky.
The breeze came from the wind.
The gust came from the breeze.
The tornado came from the gust.
But now back to the sky.

The snow came from the cold.
The water came from the snow.
The river came from the water.
The ocean came from the river.
But now back to the cold.

The fire came from the light.
The flare came from the spark.
The blaze came from the flare.
The inferno came from the blaze.
But now back to the light.

Life came from the ashes.
We came from life.
Unity came from us.
Destruction came from unity.
But now back to the ashes.

The earth,
The wind,
The water,
The fire,
The life,
Return all as one, from beginning to end.

Nine Woods

Nine woods in the Cauldron go,
Burn them fast and burn them slow;

Birch in the fire goes,
To represent what the Lady knows;

Oak gives the forest towers might,
In the fire brings the God's insight;

Rowan is the tree of power,
Causing life and magick to flower;

Willows at the waterside stand,
To aid the journey to the Summerland;

Hawthorn is burned to purify,
And draw faerie to your eye;

Hazel, the tree of wisdom and learning,
Adds its strength to the bright fire burning;

White are the flowers of Apple tree,
That brings us fruits of fertility;

Grapes that grow upon the vine,
Giving us both joy and wine;

Fir does mark the evergreen,
To represent immortality seen;

Elder is the Lady's tree,
Burn it not or cursed you'll be!

The Goddess Within

I dance in my mind
to the music my passion provides.
I feel bound by the constraints
that my body limits me to.
By the constraints of my surroundings....
...the people...
...the bus...
... my room...

So in my mind there is a grassy hill,
a place of peace where a lady dances
to the music that plays in her heart...
A place where no one else can go,
where no one has to wonder or contemplate her sanity...

She spins, surrounded by silk and satin,
swirling 'round her soul. Sometimes black, red, white... Sometimes
green, gray, or purple...
But forever she dances on...

Keeping beat to my heart, turning with
The cycles of the earth...
Swirling in time to my confusion...
Stomping her feet to the throbbing of my anger,
But always at peace, somehow, in a world
that, by necessity, is separate from mine.

Invocation to the Moon

I come into your garden fair,
To Waltz upon the dew.
To look upon your handiwork,
While morning still is new.

I come into your meadow fair,
To laugh upon the lawn,
To stare upon a red-blue sky,
Working magic come the dawn.

I come into your forest fair,
To sing among the trees,
To sway carefree amidst the leaves
Come full the noon-day breeze.

I come into your greenwood fair,
To watch the sunlight play,
As it dances towards the dusk,
And sparkles like the fey.

I come into your grove so fair,
The cloak of night comes round,
To gather stars within its sweep
And shine upon the ground.

I come upon your world so fair,
And think on what I've seen
Then fall to sleep with Gods of old,
And dream on moon-beam wings.

Circle Casting

Circle of starlight,
Circle of fire,
filled with enchantments
bright with desire.
Turning, turning,
beginning to end;
end to beginning
again and again.

Circle of wisdom,
Circle of love,
Silver with moonbeams
bright from above.
Circle of death,
Circle of re-birth,
Circle of the Mother Earth.

Shining, shining,
forever and ever.
Spinning, spinning,
ending never.
Weaving the threads
of the midnight hour.
Weaving the web of Goddess power.

AN YE HARM NONE, LOVE,
DO WHAT THOU WILT!

Bonfires

A circle gathered round a roaring pit
All joining hands to bask within it's glow
And under Moon crowned sky all starry lit
We sing and praise the Power's shadowed flow.

For some the flames form dancing Dragon's wing
And other smoke wrought visions climb the air
For all a caring closeness will this bring
And psychic current bonding hearts to share.

We charge this timeless place between the worlds
To call the Goddesses love within our hearts
And join with her our joyous souls unfurled
Our spirits dance with her by ancient arts.

This night forever captured in this glade
To see old souls re-met and friendships made.

The Beginning

When the moon is white against the winter sky...
and the Ladies face shines down, you feel no shame.

The sins are gone, they were never really there.

You'll hear the voice that has always called your name.
You'll dance, you'll sing, to a song that always been...

But you'll never ever, ever be the same.

Bright Blessings

Earth Mother, Giver of life
Strengthen me during my life-long strife.
Teach me your ways of perfect love,
peace, and wisdom true.
Spawn from my purest heart
These words to you
May this prayer help me to better
myself in word and deed,
To a higher plane I shall succeed.
Beautiful light of goodness fair
Lore of old we both do share
A Witch's brew, I drink to you
My love for you, by day, by night
In thought and in sight
Will my soul learn
the meaning of this life again.

Oak Tree

Lay my body 'neath an Oak tree
Give my roots to Mother Earth
Take me back through my childhood
Let me see the beauty of rebirth

I have walked this path of mine in silence
Bowed my head in awe of the Sun
Bathed naked in the light of Mother Moon...

Now I hear the voices of the wind
Was that whisper of time that set me free
I'm a living legacy to the Ancients
Feel their power rise in me

Ancient breezes cross the meadow blow
Bring the Goddesses voice to my ear
Songs of the Raven - Voice of the night
Soothe my mind - Quell my fright
Bring me strength written in stone
Cradle my soul - No longer alone

Pale moon light through leaves of Autumn
Sense the fragrance of rebirth
Softly calls me to the waters edge
To wade in the womb of her Earth

Bound by blood... Generations of life
Their Magic touches my soul in the night
Awakened to the call of far distant shores
I am weaving myself into the fabric once more
Time spun 'round me - warm cocoon
The loving arms of Mother Moon

I awaken and breathe in - There is life within

She's Been Waiting

She’s been waiting
She’s been waiting, waiting.
She’s been waiting so long.
She’s been waiting for her children
To remember, to return.

Blessed be, and blessed are,
The lovers of the lady.
Blessed be, and blessed are,
The mother, maiden, crone.
Blessed be, and blessed are,
The ones who dance together.
Blessed be, and blessed are,
The ones who dance alone.
She’s been waiting, waiting.
She’s been waiting so long.
She’s been waiting for her children
To remember, to return.

Blessed be, and blessed are,
The ones who work in silence.
Blessed be, and blessed are,
The ones who shout and scream.
Blessed be, and blessed are,
The movers and the changes.
Blessed be, and blessed are,
The dreamers and the dream.
She’s been waiting, waiting.
She’s been waiting so long.
She’s been waiting for her children
To remember, to return.

Call to the Lord and Lady

She lives and breathes upon the Earth
Her wheel spins round the hub of June
She is the web of life and birth
Her smile floats softly with the moon

Heart of life, and caring mother
Loving sister, noble princess
Firebird spirit, restless lover
Shadowy hidden sorceress

His strength is there in mountains high
his lightning fly's from air and cloud
His horn heralds the wild hunt's ride
He quickens forest, roaring proud

Children's friend, protecting father
Watchful brother, noble fighter
Laughing wise one, dark magister
Player of pipes, thoughtful shepherd

Their faces many, countless names
Pan, Diana, Zeus, Astarte
Teachers from dreams, oracle's flames
Speak, and guide us within our hearts

Witch

She sees faeries

And talks to her herb garden.
And everyone laughs.

She feels colors,
And says there is magic in the moon.
And everyone laughs.

She never hurts anyone
And loves her oak tree like a child.
And everyone laughs.

She always helps a stranger
And the neighborhood strays adore her
And everyone laughs.

She sits and cries
And mumbles to the shadows,
And no one cares.

Once her hair was long and bright,
Now it is a matted mess
And no one cares.

She used to dance among the trees,
Now she can't find them
And no one cares.

Dreams of magic fill her days;
Magic she can almost touch.
And no one cares.

The day she died her herbs did, too.
And her oak tree bowed its limbs.
A single candle burned in her window
With naught there but the cats.
And no one understands...

Mother, Maiden, Crone

Mother Maiden, Crone
I am just a Witch alone,
honoring your many phases
as my own....
Changes come and go,
tides rise and flow
as your light continues to grow,
peeking through the window as I sleep,
my dreams you safely keep,
Goddess of the Moon,
your magick fills my room,
with blessings of the womb,
moonbeams dance upon these walls,
like golden threads, spun on a loom,
Stars circle round,
like a silvery crown,
as I draw your energy down..
Many Blessings you continuously bestow
with your magickal glow,
as above... so below....
Mother, Maiden, Crone
I am just a Witch Alone....
